Almost 10 years after the first feature, 20th Century is finally ready to start production on The X-Files 2 with David Duchovny in place to reprise his role of Special Agent Fox Mulder. Gillian Anderson is also expected to be back on board to play Special Agent Dana Scully. Shooting is scheduled to begin on December 10 in Vancouver under the direction of series creator Chris Carter. Carter and Frank Spotnitz wrote the script. The studio is referring to the film in casting breakdowns as Done One. The popular series ran on Fox from 1993 to 2002. Rob Bowman directed the first feature, which hit theaters on June 19, 1998.

Countless times I’ve read, heard, watched, David Duchovny saying it, Not exactly the date in which they start filming, but the guy is asked in every single interview about XF2 which is, I guess, understandable, but sometimes annoys me (Personal thought).
There’s been also Chris Carter ‘Sort of’ interviews, and I think we all have clear that there is a script, David and Gillian ar back as Mulder and Scully, (Although we still don’t know the entire cast), they are filming in Vancouver, It’s a ‘Monster of the week’ story, etc etc etc…
Since then I considered it a ‘Done one’
The thing is, everyone is waiting for FOX to say that it’s actually greenlighted, (I really don’t anymore) to finally take a freaking brake, jump, scream, dance, and be happyx2.
So I just hope, for every fan out there sake, including myself, that this information is genuine.
