It was originally thought that the 24 movie would start filming once season 5 wrapped in May. The movie was suppsoed to take place between the events of season 5 and 6. A source at Twentieth Century Fox said that the 24 movie would not start filming this summer and the soonest they could start wouldn’t be until after they get through season 6 in 2007.
Peter Dinklage has signed on to play the bad guy in Walt Disney Pictures and Spyglass Entertainment’s Underdog, reports Variety. The live-action version of the popular kids cartoon starts shooting April 10 in Rhode Island under the direction of Frederik Du Chau.

Warner Brothers Pictures has set Robin Williams and Mandy Moore to star in License to Wed, a romantic comedy that will begin shooting in Los Angeles and Mexico in May. Variety says John Krasinski (The Office) is in early talks to play Moore’s love interest. Ken Kwapis is directing the film, co-financed by Warner Bros. and Village Roadshow Pictures.

Variety confirmed a report that Shia LaBeouf will star in Michael Bay’s upcoming big-budget action movie The Transformers: The Movie.
LaBeouf is in final negotiations to play a lead role in the DreamWorks/Paramount live-action production. Shooting starts in late May.

Warner Bros. Pictures and producer Jerry Weintraub have set a July 21 start date for Ocean’s Thirteen, and Ellen Barkin is the third film’s new leading lady, reports Variety. Filming will take place primarily on five soundstages on the Warner Bros. lot in Burbank, where a fully operational casino will be built.
Soderbergh has already committed to direct returning cast members George Clooney, Brad Pitt, Matt Damon, Andy Garcia, Don Cheadle, Bernie Mac, Casey Affleck, Scott Caan, Eddie Jemison, Shaobo Qin, Carl Reiner and Elliott Gould.

Kevin Smith as been cast to play Harry Knowles (based on the real-life Harry Knowles of Ain’t It Cool News) in the feature movie Fanboys. Jorge Garcia of Lost was originally cast, but storms in Hawaii have forced him to pull out of the movie.
Knowles seemed excited at the casting. He also made a cryptic comment about who might be playing “Harry’s” spy in the movie. Would it be too hopeful or too cliche’ to cast Jason Mewes as the movie spy?
DreamWorks Animation has announced that the third film in the popular computer-animated Shrek franchise will be titled Shrek the Third. The sequel has been scheduled for release on May 18, 2007.
The upcoming film finds the green ogre Shrek (Mike Myers) and his love, Princess Fiona (Cameran Diaz), reluctantly reigning over the kingdom of Far, Far Away because the heir to the throne has gone missing. If they can find him and bring him back, they can return to their simple lives in the swamp. While Shrek, Donkey (Eddie Murphy) and Puss in Boots (Antonio Banderas) search for the heir, Fiona must hold off a coup d’etat by Prince Charming.
Justin Timberlake, who has been romantically linked to Diaz, will join the voice cast for the third installment.

Universal Pictures has attached Will Smith to star in a feature adaptation of the TV series It Takes a Thief, reports Variety. The Roland Kibbee-created series, which starred Robert Wagner, ran 1968-70.
Smith will play a charming rogue who is blackmailed by the government into doing covert larceny for the good of his country. The film will put the professional thief in the employment of the CIA.
